It's a Monday and the usual crew is in early. A bit of chatter about the work this week and where things are going right and going wrong. Coffee cups and computer problems. Effort and promises, deadlines and excitement.
Last week three of the staff said they were getting bicycles. They start with a fancy catalogue, unlike my forty dollar fold-up.
I worked a few hours yesterday and it was one of those course corrections. Good to have, but felt like steps backward from direction we had taken last week. I met Barbara in the afternoon. We bought tickets for a boat ride on the Thames. The commentary as we headed up the river had the guy next to us in stitches. Free admission to the modern art museum, because, well, it looks like modern art. We walked to St. James, had a snack in the new pavilion, then back on the boat for the slow ride home.
I got Kelly on the phone and listened to how it is all going to change for her in the next few weeks.
